Goldsmiths’ Hall
For more than four decades, Goldsmiths’ Fair has brought together a selection of the UK’s best contemporary jewellers and silversmiths. This year also marks the 20th of my professional jewellery practice, so I'll be celebrating the show with 20 special showstopper designs, which have led to a broader body of new work. You can preview a small selection online.
Exploring my creative journey - the new pieces bring together elements from my signature collections in innovative ways, to create new aesthetic forms - imbued with craftsmanship and embellished with gorgeous granulation. Fresh natural tones and warm sun-filled hues are contrasted with deep-dark oxidised silver and rich night-sky blues. Here is a glimpse of the process and themes explored…

Adorn Folds
Generous bands of hand forged matt-silver envelope the finger in different folds - encrusted with contrasting 18ct gold granulation. Each ring is a sensitive exploration of eroded line and adornment. The different compositions of richly wrapped folds each have their own distinct aesthetic and compelling texture. 'Cave Ring' one of the seminal pieces in this exploration - was created in response to a brief from Studio Vault and is inspired by Ingleborough Cave in North Yorkshire.

Driftwood
This series of sculptural pieces, including earrings and necklaces, draws on structural elements from the Tide collection, to create new multi-dimensional works. Full drifts of silver elements create complete cylindrical forms tipped with delicate droplets of gold. Like weathered driftwood, the pieces have richly textural-line and irregular edges.
Drift Drops
A creative Interplay of different formations, I have handcrafted a series of striking showstopper-drop-earrings in silver with 18ct gold granulation. Combining elements from my Tide and Cluster Collections the new designs feature fresh pairings of peridot, citrine or topaz clustered in gorgeous granulation. Adorned strands of silver either cascade from the jewels or suspend the jewelled droplets.
Tide Flow
Drawing from the Tide Collection aesthetic, this series of works feature distinct drift elements swirled in a smooth flow of silver strands. The swirls may be inter-connected in different ways and are embellished with my signature droplets of 18ct gold granulation to create texture and enhanced contrast. The compositions form elegant drop earrings and a dramatic necklace - outlining the neckline in a sea of silver.
Champagne Bombé
One of my most complex technical challenges, this progression of my Bombé ring features a stand out Australian Zircon. The central stone is encased in an orb of shimmering Champagne Diamonds - all clustered in lavish granulation.
Cocktail Clusters
My classic cluster rings, featuring jewels encased in delicate granulation detailing, have been supersized for a more dramatic look and feel. The new Cocktail Cluster Rings created for Goldsmiths’ Fair feature statement cushion-cut jewels like Citrine and Labradorite, carefully selected for their mesmerising qualities, and beautifully contrasting precious metals.
Garland Ring
These creative hybrids bring together features from my Crown and Froth Ring designs. Edged with a crown of granulation, the elements flow onto the ring surface creating a shimmering froth of granulation and jewels. A garland is said to create a symbolic bridge between the natural world and human celebrations. Often worn as an honour, a welcome or an ornament to bring joy. My new Garland Rings reference these age old traditions and connections to nature - while also bringing individual meaning to the wearer.
